Lakeway Christian Academy’s Soccer program, established in 2019, encompasses both middle school and high school men’s’ and women’s’ teams.
Our goal is to holistically develop student-athletes, both on and off the field, through the great game of soccer! Our guiding principles include:
Greg Evans is from Wrexham, Wales. He is the head coach for the LCA high school men’s team. He played soccer at Carson Newman University serving as team captain and holds the record for most minutes played in program history. He has ten years of coaching experience with academy teams in Wales and England and a local Lakeway Soccer Club U-18s team where they won their region and made a state playoff appearance.
Mick Wilson is a recently retired United States Naval officer with 27 years of service. He was on a dual athletic and Naval ROTC scholarship playing Division 1 college soccer. Throughout his naval career he played and coached the All-Navy and All-Armed Forces soccer programs, including the inaugural 16-country Military World Cup held by the Conseil International du Sport Militaire in Baku, Azerbaijan. He holds a D license from U.S. Soccer Federation and an Advanced National Diploma from United Soccer Coaches.
All Lakeway Christian Academy Student-Athletes will be required to pay an Athletic Fee in order to participate.
This fee is assessed the first week of games for the team the student-athlete participates on.
