Important COVID Update

When we return from Thanksgiving Break on Monday, November 30, both campuses (LCA / CCA ) will be in phase yellow of our COVID Plan.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you became aware of a positive COVID-19 case that effects your student or someone in your family over break, please do not send them to school on November 30th. Email the nurses and they will follow up with further directions on Monday, November 30th when school resumes.

Please continue to follow the recommendations outlined in Lakeway Christian Schools' COVID plan and monitor your students for symptoms prior to coming to school each day.

Please remember: If you have someone in your household who is awaiting results of a COVID test, please keep your whole family out of school. This eliminates the risk of exposure until you know for sure.

We have been blessed to have a limited amount of positive cases within our schools so far this year. All the measures we are taking at this point are to contain the spread, keep our community safe, and our schools open.

Lakeway Christian Academy is proud to present "A Christmas Carol" in a virtual format for you to enjoy at home safely this Christmas Season! Our LCA Theater Department and LCA Creative Team joined together to film live on stage at the brand new state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center at Lakeway Christian Academy and are producing the scenes into a final product for you to view. A variety of viewing packages are available below.

*One small change of plans: Due to COVID Quarantines this production will not be released until Friday, December 18.  Thank you for your flexibility!

Our students are working hard to prepare for Christmas performances. Having students off campus in quarantine, and now in hybrid red phase at Lakeway, has had a significant impact on these events. With that in mind, we need to share some important updates with you.

All Christmas Performances will move to a virtual platform:

  • A Christmas Carol (previously scheduled for Dec. 4-6)
  • A Cornerstone Christmas (previously scheduled for Dec. 11)
  • Candlelight Christmas (previously scheduled for Dec. 10)

Please know that it is our desire to showcase our students’ gifts and talents while keeping in mind the health and safety of all of our families during this COVID pandemic. It is a special time of year and we pray that these virtual experiences will be a blessing to your family during the Christmas Season!

Students participating will be recorded during their lessons after Thanksgiving break. They may wear the festive outfit they were planning to wear to the recital on the day of the recording and change into their uniform after the recording. Contact Mrs. Upton with any questions.
