CCA Chapel: A Note from Mrs. Manis
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35
Do they see Jesus in me?
Do they recognize His face?
Do I communicate His love and His grace?
Do I reflect who You are in the way I choose to be?
Do they see Jesus, Jesus in me?
The theme for Cornerstone Chapel this year is “Do They See Jesus in Me?” based upon John 13:34-35. Do others see Jesus in my words, in my actions, and in my choices?
With our minds focused all year on being mindful to let our love for Christ flow outward through our daily actions and choices, we will have fun sub-themes to help us to learn what it looks like to love Jesus and love others.
Our first chapel series will help us learn to ”Look Like Jesus” and see people how Jesus sees them. Followed by “Emoji Prayers” which will teach us to pray all kinds of prayers; to pray for those who are sad, those who are hurting and sick, and to pray for friends with a thankful heart. Later in the year we will take a trip to the fruit stand for “Fruit of the Spirit”. We will learn that focusing on God and filling our minds and hearts with God’s Word, will produce the fruit of the Spirit that can be seen naturally in our lives. These are just a few of the fun sub-themes to help us learn and focus on loving others well so they can see Jesus in us.
Since joining the Cornerstone Christian Academy family last year, it has continued to be my greatest joy and honor to have the opportunity to be a part of your child(ren)’s lives each week. I encourage you to attend our chapel times. This year will look a little different than last year as we are dividing up to ensure we are joining together safely. A posted chapel schedule will be up very soon. The first week of chapel will begin after labor day. I will pop in the student’s classes in the following weeks to let them in on what chapels look like and to bring a short devotion. I am very eager to dive into God’s Word with our CCA Cubs! Thank You for your unending encouragement and support. To God be the Glory!
